Thankful Thursday #11: Back On-line

Hello everyone!  It’s good to be back.  I know it’s not quite Thursday yet, but I am thankful today.  After an extended hiatus because of technical difficulties, I’m back to blogging!  I changed my web hosting service and some things got muddled along the way.  But I think I have everything working again except for those of you who were following by email.  I will be working this week to email everyone on my followers list to invite you to re-follow.  In the mean time, feel free to click the follow link. 🙂

Just wanted to give you a little taste of what I’ve been up to since we last talked.  I’ve been experimenting with lacto-fermentation in the form of water kefir, dill pickles, apple chutney, and Moroccan spiced lemons.  All yummy so far!  Hoping to make some Kimchee as soon as my onions are big enough to use.  I’ve also made some fabric grocery bags and am working up some veggie bags out of a lace curtain I had in the top of the linen closet.

I am going to be teaching sewing and crochet classes at a local fabric and craft store that opens this weekend (oh, happy day!), so I’ve been working on my samples for the classes.   I’ve been busy drying herbs from the garden, and we are anticipating the first rosy glow appearing on the tomatoes.  Just can’t wait for fresh salsa and tomato basil salads!  Made the first stir-fry with our own snow peas last week.  With my son graduating from high school in a week and a half, and my daughter’s wedding just SIX WEEKS away (how is that possible?), I’ve been keeping pretty busy.
